UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has announced three more senior appointments to the team that will run the new National Anti-Doping Organisation.
Michelle Heins, former director of marketing and communications at the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority, joins as director of communications and education. One of her priorities will be to ensure that UKAD supports existing athletes with their anti-doping responsibilities and to build long-term strategies to support the next generation of British champions.
Paul Evans has been appointed director of business support responsible for overseeing the supporting functions of the organisation, including HR, finance and IT. Evans was previously director of corporate services at 11MILLION – the body that supports the Children’s Commissioner for England.
Finally, Gabriella Re, former regional intelligence officer for Trading Standards South East, joins as head of intelligence. She will have responsibility for setting processes and managing and processing intelligence streams.
The three new appointments will work with existing directors Nicole Sapstead and Graham Arthur, as well as chief executive Andy Parkinson.
“We have a strong leadership team with a vast amount of experience who are well positioned to deliver anti-doping policies to the highest quality,” said Parkinson.
