Sharapova signs $70m Nike extension 12/01/2010

Maria Sharapova has reportedly extended her sponsorship deal with Nike by eight years in a $70m deal.
Bloomberg reports that the new agreement will see Nike sell a line of dresses designed by the former Wimbledon champion and that she will get a percentage of the sales.
Nike has worked with the Russian, who is said to make about $22m a year in prize money and endorsements, for 11 years. She also has deals with companies including Tiffany & Co, Sony Ericsson and Canon.
