Sochi to host Freeride World Tour 14/01/2010 |

Sochi, the venue for the 2014 Winter Olympics, will host the first stage of this year’s Freeride World Tour.
The event will take place on January 21 and 22 at Krasnaya Polyana, the ski area being used in 2014.
Snowboarder Xavier de Le Rue, last year’s Freeride World Champion, said:
“Krasnaya Polyana has the best snow in Europe. With its maritime weather conditions, it snows a lot and with the 55 lifts and all the facilities that are planned for 2014, Krasnaya Polyana will be a major resort which will compete with other big resorts in the Alps.”
