Scottish Athletics has appointed Nigel Holl as its new chief executive.
Holl, currently director of netball for England Netball, will take up his new position on April 1. He takes over from Geoff Wightman and is also expected to resign as a board director of Commonwealth Games England.
"I look forward to maximising the opportunities offered by a home Olympics and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow,” said Holl, who helped set up the Scottish Institute of Sport.
"The Olympics, followed two years later by a home Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, are hugely significant for athletes, coaches, club members and volunteers at all levels of athletics in Scotland.”
