Manchester United has signed a sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines.
The three-and-a-half-year agreement sees the airline come on board as United’s official carrier, replacing Air Asia.
United confirmed what it called a “multi-million pound deal”, but did not release exact financial details. The news comes a day after it emerged that debts at United’s parent company had risen to £716.5m.
Turkish Airlines has already announced a similar contract with Barcelona, which is reportedly worth about £2.7m a year to the Catalan giants.
