The IAAF has announced two new broadcast rights agreements for the World Athletics Series (WAS) in Mexico and the Caribbean.
The organisation has signed a deal with terrestrial broadcaster Televisa in Mexico that covers WAS competitions including the World and World Indoor Championships for the next three years.
The IAAF has also extended its agreement with the Caribbean Media Corporation for a further four years. As a result, the most important WAS events will be broadcast in 20 territories across the region.
Athletics’ governing body has now secured coverage across the American continent, with deals in the USA, Canada, Brazil and multiple South American territories already agreed.
The deals have been negotiated by Dentsu, the IAAF's exclusive marketing partner.
