QBE Insurance has signed up to sponsor the 2011 Sailing World Championships in Perth.
The company has agreed a deal to become a gold-level commercial partner of the Olympic qualifying event, which will attract more than 4,000 athletes to Western Australia next year.
Perth 2011 director of commercial operations Darren Beazley said: “Due to the
complex and diverse risks associated with an Olympic qualifying event, it made
sense to partner with one of the most experienced insurance companies in the
country.
“QBE is highly respected, an industry leader and a perfect fit with this international event. As the excitement builds in the lead up to next year’s World Championships, Perth 2011 is proud to have QBE Insurance as our commercial partner assisting in showcasing our sport, our country and our state to the rest of the world.”
The Sailing World Championships will be held between December 3 and 18, 2011.
