ARD and ZDF have been awarded the German broadcasting rights for Euro 2012.
The deal means 27 live matches from the tournament in Poland and Ukraine will be shown free on Das Erste and ZDF.
The two public broadcasters also held the rights to Euro 2008 and chief executive of Uefa events David Taylor said: "Uefa is delighted to renew this agreement with ARD and ZDF, two long-standing and experienced partners in broadcasting major sports events.
"Having established a very good relationship with both broadcasters, Uefa is looking forward to providing a unique viewing experience to football fans in Germany by offering extensive coverage of Uefa Euro 2012."
Coverage of the event will also be broadcast via the internet, mobile and radio.
