The Bundesliga has pledged its support to Munich’s bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
Germany’s top-flight football league will help promote the bid in television adverts and will use its own media platforms such as internet sites and stadium newspapers to reach millions more football fans.
Willy Bogner, chief executive of Munich 2018, welcomed the news. “We are glad to have found a strong partner who will support us,” he said.
