The International Rugby Board (IRB) and the Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR) have appointed ESPN as the host broadcaster of this year’s Junior World Championship.
ESPN will show live action from each of the three rounds of pool matches, as well as the semi-finals, the third place play-off and the final on June 21.
IRB tournaments manager Philippe Bourdarias said: "The IRB is delighted that ESPN will be the host broadcaster of the IRB Junior World Championship in Argentina.
"Both the IRB and the UAR enjoy a fruitful relationship with ESPN, who are widely recognised as one of the world's leading sports broadcasters and a true champion of rugby across South America.
“ESPN's high level of production, promotion and coverage will give the championship a significant boost in profile within Argentina and around the world."
ESPN is a rights-holding broadcaster for Rugby World Cup 2011 and promotes RWC archive footage through its ESPN Classic platform. It is also a rights-holding broadcaster of the IRB Sevens World Series.
