Gatorade dumps Woods
 01/03/2010

Gatorade has become the latest brand to end its sponsorship deal with Tiger Woods.

The energy drink company has severed ties with the world No 1 after he admitted that he was unfaithful to his wife.

Gatorade will continue its partnership with the Tiger Woods Foundation but a spokeswoman said: "We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship. We wish him all the best."

The company had already discontinued a Tiger Woods-themed drink called Tiger Focus.

Accenture and AT&T; have also ended their sponsorship deals with the golfer, while Gillette and Tag Heuer have said they will “limit” his role in their marketing.

However, Nike has continually given Woods its full backing throughout the scandal.
