Formula 1 team Mercedes has confirmed that chief executive Nick Fry has stepped down from its board.
Fry will remain chief executive of the team but a Mercedes spokeswoman said he would now be an "observer" at board meetings rather than having a vote.
A report in the London Evening Standard revealed that Fry stepped down on January 26 after new owners Mercedes took a majority stake in the Brawn team.
