Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC) will propose Jack Livingstone as its new president at the next AGM, which will be held on June 19.
The position has been vacant since the death of Lord Steinberg in November last year.
Livingstone has been a member of LCCC since 1947 and has also been chairman of the Lord's Taverners North West region and the LCCC Youth Trust.
