Japan Airlines Corp (JAL) is disbanding it's women's professional basketball team the JAL Rabbits at the end of the 2010/11 season after filing for bankruptcy.
JAL, which filed for bankruptcy in January with debts of more than $25bn, has also announced that it will shut its track and field club at the end of March.
The JAL Rabbits was established in 1967 and captain Yumi Iwamura said: "It's a real blow, but I'm grateful for one last season.”
