New FIA president Jean Todt will be better for Formula 1 than his predecessor Max Mosley, according to the head of the Spanish motor racing federation.
Carlos Gracia told Spanish newspaper Marca that he has more faith in former Ferrari boss Todt.
"My position has not changed much,” Gracia said. “With Mosley, I had a good relationship. But now with Todt, it is even better. I believe in him as a manager, a businessman who sees the FIA like a company.
"Those of us on the inside see that he has started in the right direction, although he has not rushed anything or entered like an elephant in the kitchen. With Todt, F1 will no longer be whipped."
