SAP will continue to title sponsor the SAP Open tennis tournament in northern California after signing a three-year extension to its deal.
SAP began its title sponsorship in 2005 and the new deal runs until 2013.
“Over the past six years, our tournament staff have developed an excellent working relationship with SAP,” said Greg Jamison, president and chief executive of Silicon Valley Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the SAP Open.
“We appreciate SAP’s continued support of the tournament and look forward to maintaining this partnership in the future.”
Robert Enslin, president of SAP North America, added: "SAP is proud to continue our title sponsorship of this prestigious event that brings together some of the top athletes from the ATP World Tour.
“This showcase of sporting excellence and the event’s commitment in partnering with the San Jose community aligns to the qualities that we value most at SAP. Together with our several thousand employees based in the Silicon Valley, we are delighted to continue our partnership with the SAP Open, the second-oldest men’s professional tennis tournament in the United States.”
