Fifa vice-president Jack Warner has told Columbia it should bid to host the World Cup in 2026.
Influential Warner said he was impressed with how the country was preparing to host next year’s Under-20 World Cup.
“All the work for this World Cup could be used as a preparation for the 2026 World Cup,” he added. “Brazil will host the 2014 World Cup, but 12 years later the World Cup will return to South America and I think Colombia will then be totally prepared to organise the World Cup.”
