Malaysia will open its first national golf caddy academy next month.
The facility in Pulau Carey will offer caddies full-time employment contracts and will be able to train 100 bag carriers a year, reports the country’s Bernama news agency.
The academy will give three-month courses to 30 people at a time in a bid to boost the number of professional caddies in the golfing industry.
