Bill Susetka, the former president of Clairol's US retail division and ex-president of global marketing at Avon Products, has been appointed chairman of the LPGA board.
Susetka came out of retirement to serve as the LPGA’s chief marketing officer from 2007 until 2009, during which time he led the redesign and launch of the organisation’s new logo and brand.
He also served on the board of the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) from 2007 to 2009.
LPGA commissioner Michael Whan said: "Bill's deep knowledge and passion for the LPGA – and even more specifically our tournament partners, players, teaching and club professional members and staff – make him a perfect fit.
"Bill will be an ideal LPGA board chairman given his successful track record with leading corporations Clairol and Avon. I look forward to working closely with Bill and the rest of the LPGA board as the LPGA embarks on its 60th year."
Susetka added: "I am a strong believer that the LPGA has great opportunities and I am pleased to be able to work with my fellow board members and Mike Whan, our newly named commissioner, to grow this great brand.
“Mike has already made a tremendous impact in a very short time, and I know that under his leadership, the LPGA is destined for great things."
