Farmers Insurance has signed a four-year sponsorship deal with the PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines.
The company stepped in at the last minute to sponsor this year’s event on a one-year deal but has now signed on for another four years.
The tournament was without a backer since August last year after previous sponsor Buick’s parent General Motors filed for bankruptcy.
Farmers Insurance has agreed the new deal with the PGA Tour and tournament organisers the Century Club of San Diego.
Century Club executive director and tournament chief Tom Wilson said: "All of the good feelings we had working together during the tournament week have made it a lot easier for them to make the decision they made.
"We had an inkling from them that this might happen because so many positive things came out of the tournament."
