The president of the Paraguayan Football Association Juan Angel Napout has said he wants to build more football stadiums to help regenerate the country.
"I spoke with the minister of sport Paul Reichart and there are plans to construct stadiums throughout the whole country, which will create jobs and options for young people for recreation," he told Paraguayan newspaper ABC.
"Chile and Venezuela have invested heavily in stadiums," he added, estimating that Venezuela had spent over $1bn on stadium infrastructure.
