Executive director of the US World Cup bid David Downs believes Major League Soccer’s new five-year collective bargaining agreement with the MLS players union is a boost for the country's campaign to host the tournament.
Downs told World Football Insider: "It is terrific that they have gained this result. It means that one more aspect of our football development in the USA is very solidly in place.
"For a 15-year-old league, we have achieved a number of good accomplishments, not least solid ownership and building football-specific stadia.
"We are in great shape. The US is very proud of its bid and we think we measure up to all of our competitors. We offer a very good short- and long-term economic legacy to Fifa."
