The BBC has announced that this year’s Grand National meeting will be the first-ever horse racing event to be screened in high definition by the broadcaster.
Coverage of the three-day meeting in April will also benefit from the use of two new high-speed cameras at The Chair and Becher's Brook.
They will capture the action for high-speed replays as the horses try to negotiate the race’s biggest fences.
