International Ski Federation (FIS) event and sponsorship manager Niklas Carlsson is leaving after three years to take up the position of alpine director of the Swedish Ski Association.
FIS snowboard race director Marcel Looze will succeed Carlsson, who steps down at the end of June and takes up his new role on August 1.
Before joining the FIS in 2006, Looze was sports director for the Netherlands Ski Association. During his time with the FIS, he has worked on the event and sponsorship side of the organisation and played a key role in securing LG Electronics as the title sponsor of the Snowboard World Cup.
Snowboard technical adviser Uwe Beier, who has been with the FIS for four years, will replace Looze as snowboard race director.
