Singapore 2010 organisers have said that tickets for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games are selling fast.
Three hundred and twenty thousand tickets for the event, which takes place in August, went on sale last week and sports such as swimming, diving and gymnastics are already proving popular.
Chief executive of Singapore 2010 Goh Kee Nguan said: "Singaporeans actually make up 75 per cent of the ticket sales. Overseas we have about 10 other countries that have come in to buy most of the tickets.
“For diving, most of the tickets are not available any more. For swimming, more than 50 per cent of the tickets have also been taken up."
