IAAF senior vice-president Sergey Bubka has been appointed chairman of the International Olympic Committee's entourage commission.
The newly formed entourage commission has been established to address matters relating to coaches, trainers and athletes’ entourages in general.
Bubka, still the world record holder in the pole vault, is also chairman of the IOC's co-ordination commission for the first Youth Olympic Games which will be held in Singapore later this year.
Guy Drut, the 1976 Olympic champion in the 110m hurdles, was also appointed to the entourage commission.
