Iveco has agreed to renew its partnership with MotoGP rights holder Dorna Sports for a further two years.
The company will be the truck and commercial vehicle supplier to the championship, providing 15 tractors and four vans vans to transport materials, equipment and personnel to the 18 events.
Iveco will also remain the title sponsor of the Australian Grand Prix in 2010 and 2011.
Dorna Sports managing director Pau Serracanta said: “We are very pleased to strengthen our relationship with Iveco as not only title sponsor of the Iveco Australian Grand Prix but also as supplier of trucks and commercial vehicles.
“For us, it is very rewarding to be able to work with an environmentally friendly company that really cares about the issue of emissions, and applies new technologies in optimising the efficiency of their vehicles. We are also delighted to have reached an agreement with a company that invests in modern technology in the same manner as we do.”
Franco Miniero, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for Iveco, added: “Beyond our proximity to the world of sport, which represents an important guideline of our business strategy, this initiative is a great opportunity for us to increase our visibility worldwide.
“It allows us to pass on to our customers the positive energy associated with this sport, which is a symbol of great cutting-edge technology but also of strong emotion.”
