United States Soccer has hired former national team captain Claudio Reyna as youth technical director.
Reyna played for Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg in Germany, Rangers in Scotland and Sunderland and Manchester City in England before returning to his homeland in 2007 with the New York Red Bulls. He retired in 2008.
Reyna was officially unveiled in his new role this week by US Soccer chief Sunil Gulati.
