West Ham United is reportedly in talks with Essex County Cricket Club about ground-sharing the Olympic Stadium.
The London Evening Standard claims Essex could rent the venue from West Ham in the summer months if the football club succeeds in its bid to move in after the 2012 Olympics.
The paper reports that Essex wants to attract the cricket-loving Asian community in the East End to Twenty20 matches at the Stratford stadium.
A West Ham source said: “We have been discussing ideas with Essex and the possibility of staging Twenty20 games at the Olympic Stadium is just one of them.”
