The SK Telecom Open, a Korean Tour event that was co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour from 2001 to 2007, will form part of the OneAsia tour schedule for 2010, it has been announced.
Reuters reports that the $890,000 tournament, which will take place at the SKY72 Ocean Course in the South Korean capital from May 20-23, was originally listed as the Seoul Open on the 10-event schedule for the second year of the tour.
The Korean Golf Tour's Song Byung-joo said: "The SK Telecom Open is one of the jewels in the crown of professional tournament golf in Korea and we see its move to the OneAsia schedule as an important part in building a path for the development and growth of Korean golf."
OneAsia was launched last year as a rival to the Asian Tour
