Korean Grand Prix organisers have rubbished reports the country’s inaugural Formula 1 race is in danger, claiming that work on the circuit is ahead of schedule.
Korea is due to host its first-ever grand prix on October 24 but a report in a German magazine suggested there were delays with the construction of the new track.
However, Korea Auto Valley Operation chief executive Yung Cho Chung told Autopsort: "The construction progress for our circuit is well ahead of its schedule and we have absolutely no issues with completion.
"I understand that Mr [Bernie] Ecclestone is quite happy with not only the progress of the track but the direction the Korean F1 race is headed and he has raised no questions and concerns.”
