Japan’s World Cup bid has signed three new sponsors.
Fuji Television Network, Nikkei and Tokyo Broadcasting System Television are all supporting the 2018/2022 bid, bringing the total number of sponsors to 15.
A spokesman for Japan 2018/2022 said: "This gives the bid further momentum domestically.
"The three companies will provide a range of support for the bid committee in its efforts to bring the 2018/2022 Fifa World Cup to Japan.
"As official bid partners, the companies fully understand the significance of Japan's bid. The bid committee is hugely grateful for their support.
"The Japan 2018/2022 bid committee hopes to recruit more official bid partners in the future to further strengthen its bid."
