Marcos Beltrá has been appointed as head of communications for the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Hall of Fame and the Pedro Ferrándiz Foundation.
The foundation – created in 1991 by famous Spanish basketball coach Pedro Ferrándiz with the support of FIBA – is a non-profit organisation devoted to the study and promotion of basketball.
Beltrá will be responsible for all the foundation’s communications, as well as working to promote the Hall of Fame, which was set up on March 1, 2007 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of FIBA.
Beltrá has held senior positions within FIBA and Real Madrid Basketball, and has also been a press officer at four Olympic Games and three FIBA World Championships.
Ferrándiz, president of the foundation that carries his name, said: "This foundation is really proud to be able to count within its ranks an executive of Marcos Beltrá’s impressive extensive professional experience. He has always performed brilliantly in the past, particularly during his years at FIBA and Real Madrid."
