The Premier League and digital sports specialists Perform have announced a three-year renewal of their mobile and internet clip production partnership.
The new deal, which starts at the beginning of the 2010/11 season, will see Perform distribute up to 4,500 “near live” clips from every match.
The agency will also provide a range of new services such as the creation of bespoke language versions for Spanish, Arabic, German and Italian speaking licensees.
In addition, it has developed a range of consumer-focused products to enable licensees to fully exploit their rights, including mobile applications and a flash VOD player.
“This is an exciting evolution in the service that we currently provide for our valued international licensees,” said Paul Molnar, head of media operations at the Premier League.
“Perform have proven over the last three years that they can deliver a highly innovative production and technical solution.”
Oliver Slipper, joint chief executive of Perform, added: “We have been working in a number of capacities for the Premier League over the past three years and are very pleased to be extending our production partnership with them.
“We really believe the additional distribution solutions will provide the Premier League’s mobile and internet licensees with fantastic new opportunities to reach and engage fans.”
