Serbian Formula 1 hopeful Stefan GP has confirmed that it will bid for the remaining spot on the 2011 grid – and announced plans to build an F1 circuit at its new base near Belgrade.
Team owner Zoran Stefanovic has signed an agreement with the mayor of Stara Pazova, located 25km from Belgrade, to build Stefan Technology Park.
The complex, which will serve as Stefan GP’s headquarters, should be completed in two years’ time and will include a “racing circuit suitable for the competition of Formula 1”.
