The Prague Open tennis tournament will not return to the WTA Tour schedule after this year because of financial problems.
Tournament director Vladislav Savrda has revealed that organisers have lost the event’s major financial partner and have been negotiating the sale of the tournament with the WTA board of directors.
The WTA tour returned to the Czech capital after seven years in 2005. This year’s Prague Open is scheduled for July 12-18.
