Michelin has revealed it will not return to Formula 1 as the sport’s only tyre manufacturer.
F1 needs to find a new supplier after Japanese company Bridgestone announced it would be pulling out at the end of this season after 14 years.
Michelin managing partner Didier Mariton said: "We're in talks with the [International Automobile] Federation and the other bodies that run Formula 1 and we told them that if several brands were allowed in the sport then Michelin would be ready to think about it."
