Saracens has continued its sponsorship blitz by announcing two major new deals.

The Guinness Premiership club has signed up satellite navigation provider Garmin as its main sponsor from next season, while Nike will become its new kit supplier.

Chairman Nigel Wray said: “Saracens has enjoyed a hugely successful season on and off the field and this new partnership with Garmin will sustain our progress. They’re an ambitious quality brand and we look forward to developing a successful association with a company who share our enthusiasm for innovation and our appetite to discover ways to adapt and improve our respective game or products.”

Clive Taylor, Garmin’s director of products and marketing, added: “We have looked at a number of sports over the last year and firmly believe the developments we have seen on and off the pitch at Saracens match our own ambitions for continual innovation across our product sectors.

“We believe we can further help Saracens and the growing game of rugby by introducing the sport to our extensive customer base. In return, Saracens can help position our products in front of a whole new audience.”

Saracens’ new Nike-manufactured kit was launched on Wednesday (May 12) in London.

Wray continued: “This partnership with Nike underpins our plan to become one of the most dynamic and innovative sports brands in the country.”

Saracens has also announced sponsorship deals with Virgin Atlantic and Grundfos this week.
