ERDF Annecy Leman, the French electrical distribution network, has signed up to sponsor Annecy’s bid to host the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Christian Monteil, chairman of the Annecy 2018 supervisory board, said: "By bringing ERDF Annecy Leman into the marketing programme, Annecy 2018 shows that large French companies and the economic world back this national project.”
Edgar Grospiron, chief executive of Annecy 2018, added: "ERDF, a national company, has invested in the candidature at a local level with ERDF Annecy Leman.
“This support is important for the bid as it shows that through the passion of the regional population, Annecy 2018 is the candidate for all of France.”
