Manchester United will play the first match at the rebuilt Lansdowne Road in Dublin.
The 50,000-seat stadium will stage next year’s Europa League final and will also be used for rugby union.
It will be officially opened on August 4 when Manchester United take on a League of Ireland XI – a week before the Republic of Ireland play a friendly against Argentina.
Ireland's first home Euro 2012 qualifier at the stadium will be on September 7 against Andorra, and the Europa League final will take place on May 18, 2011.
Football Association of Ireland chief executive John Delaney said: "Along with the friendly match against Argentina on August 11 and our two home European Championship qualifying matches, football fans are in for an eventful and exciting autumn.”
