Manchester United has signed a sponsorship deal with Chile’s largest winery Vina Concha y Toro.
It is the fourth sponsorship agreement United has announced this year following deals with Turkish Airlines, Telekom Malaysia and African mobile phone operator MTN Group.
Vina Concha y Toro becomes the club’s official wine partner and the company’s marketing director of global brands Giancarlo Bianchetti said: “We wanted to find a partner who shared our commitment to excellence and Manchester United Football Club has developed into an immensely powerful global brand.”
United has generated more than £200m in commercial revenue from 20 agreements since establishing a London-based sales office in 2007, according to a spokesman for the club’s owners, the Glazer family.
