The Red Knights insist they are getting closer to making a bid for Manchester United despite reports that key figures within the group are losing hope that the Glazers can be persuaded to sell.
Several newspapers claimed on Thursday (May 20) that internal divisions are starting to emerge among the Red Knights about the best strategy going forward.
However, the Press Association reports that such suggestions have surprised some senior figures within the group who believe the last fortnight has been a productive period.
A Red Knights source said: "Talks have been going better than ever and are progressing very positively."
The Glazer family has always maintained that the club is not for sale and claims to have turned down a bid of £1.5bn from the Middle East.
