Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has revealed the club hopes to start work on the revamp of Bloomfield Road as soon as possible, with a new East Stand part of the plans.
The club has already received permission from Blackpool Council to upgrade the ground's capacity to 16,000 from 12,555.
Oyston said: "We are working on the planning consent we have from 2001 for which all the land we require is already in our ownership. There are no other issues other than me agreeing terms with the builders and the architects and saying get on with it."
It is unlikely the new stand will be ready in time for the club's first season in the Premier League, but Oyston told the Blackpool Gazette that work would begin "as soon as is realistically possible".
