The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has said it has complete faith in London to deliver the “best possible” Games in 2012.
IPC president Sir Philip Craven told the Daily Telegraph: “"London 2012 have been committed from the start. By inviting me on to the board, it meant that they have always listened – they’ve had to listen – but they really took hold of looking to deliver the best Games possible after sending a delegation of executives to the Beijing Games in 2008.
"That was their first great exposure – then they came to the Vancouver Winter Games this year, and it has been a learning curve. From my perspective, there has always been a deep belief in the 2012 Paralympics deep at the heart of LOCOG [the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games]. I think we have seen that with the unveiling of the mascots. They just about got it spot on with ‘Mandeville’."
