Asian Football Confederation (AFC) chiefs are hoping to attract a bigger crowd to this year’s Champions League final in Tokyo than the 25,000 that watched Pohang Steelers beat Al Ittihad in 2009.
AFC competitions director Tokuaki Suzuki said he expected 30,000 to attend this year's final and would be working with the Japanese Football Association on promotional activities.
“The ACL final is our biggest event this year and we are fully focused and determined to make it as big as possible," he added.
