The official bidding process for the 2015 Solheim Cup began yesterday after the Ladies European Tour confirmed they are ready to receive submissions for the match play golf tournament.
The venue for the 2013 biennial contest, which is open to all golf venues across Europe, will be disclosed next year.
Mark Casey, the Solheim Cup Director of Operations, is confident of receiving a number of bids after revealing he has received interest from “a number of venues and countries.”
The 2011 event will be played at Killenn Castle in County Meath, Ireland, from September 23-25.
