Oxford to return to Football League with Bridle
 08/06/2010

Bridle Insurance has confirmed it will sponsor League Two side Oxford United following the club’s promotion to the Football League.

The two year deal, which is worth an estimated $100,000, replaces the former ten-year agreement which United held with Buildbase

“Firstly we would all like to acknowledge the marvellous support the club has received from Buildbase over the past ten years and as the club's new sponsor we are delighted for Buildbase that they were able to finish on such a high with the Wembley win and a return to the Football League,” said Bridle chief operations officer, Neil Fox.

“Looking forward, we were very pleased to hear from Kelvin as it was an easy decision to increase our involvement with the club. Oxford United is a massive part of the community and is a well run, professional family club that we are all very proud and excited to be associated with.

“We are very keen to play as large a part as possible in helping Oxford climb up the Football League.”

Oxford United chairman, Kelvin Thomas, added: “We're very excited to have Bridle joining us as our main sponsors and are looking forward to starting next season back in the Football League with their support.

“I'm very much looking forward to developing our relationship further and I'm certain that this partnership will be a long and fruitful one.”

Oxford, who were relegated from the Football League in 2006, defeated York City 3-1 in the Conference play-off Final to end their four-year exile in non-league.
