The SBS channel, which is based in Seoul, South Korea, currently holds the rights to broadcast the tournament.
South Korean media report that the opening game of the competition was shown across the border without permission along with a whole host of other games.
The only game not to be shown so far was South Korea’s 2-0 win over Greece last Saturday.
SBS has exclusive rights over the entire Korean peninsula and had entered into negotiations with their neighbours across the border before the start of the tournament.
But their failure to come to an agreement has seen the North now rely on broadcasting their games through state television much to the dismay of SBS.
