Neo Cricket has set its sights on attracting revenue of up to $21.5 million after selling 80% of its inventory for Cricket’s Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
Raju Udapa, Neo Sports Broadcast executive, told Indiantelevision.com: “"We have HUL, Tata DoCoMo and Airtel DTH as co-presenters. Lemon Mobile and Tata Motors are associate sponsors. We have sold spots for Rs 225,000 per 10 seconds and are targetting revenues of Rs 1 billion."
According to analysts, the target of Rs 1billion is a highly ambition figure given the competition facing stiff rivalry from the FIFA World Cup.
Neo will release another 10% of its inventory should India make the final of the tournament, which begins on Tuesday.
Udupa also revealed that deals have also been finalised with spot buyers including Micromax, HCL, Perfetti, Nissan Auto, Godfrey Phillips, Piramal Healthcare and K Lakshmi Cement.
