The Football Association has charged three former Redditch United players with breaches of betting regulations.
Matthew Clarke and Scott Rickards – both now at Halesown Town, Clarke as manager – have been charged with breaches of FA rules, on 25 and two counts respectively.
Howard Forinton of Woodford United, also formerly of Redditch, has also been charged on two counts.
All three have admitted placing bets on a game in which they each played between Redditch and Stalybridge Celtic at the end of the 2007/08 season.
Clarke has also admitted placing bets on games in which he was involved in the same season – namely Redditch versus Barrow AFC and Redditch versus Kettering Town – and on matches in the same division in the 2008/09 season.
The players will be sanctioned in July.
